Dr Raymond Loh

Dr Raymond Loh is an ophthalmologist in practice since 2004. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Ophthalmologist and the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, London.

He completed his medical degree at Queens University Belfast and General Ophthalmology residency training based at Leeds General Infirmary and St James University Hospital in Leeds, UK. He has completed fellowships in Cornea, Ocular Surface Disease and Refractive Surgery at Leeds General Infirmary, Minnesota Eye Consultants and Flinders University.

After completing a Cornea fellowship in 2004 under Professor Douglas Coster at Flinders University, Dr Loh was a senior consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre and Changi General Hospital Singapore from 2005 in Cornea, Ocular Surface Disease and Refractive Surgery. He has been practicing in Adelaide since 2011 and is a consultant ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmology, Flinders Medical Centre.

Special fields and passion

Dr Raymond Loh is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with sub-specialty expertise in Cornea and Ocular Surface disease.   His interests include the latest cataract surgical and cornea transplant techniques as well as being active in research on corneal disorders and infections. Dr Loh is focused on education to ophthalmologists having published research papers, book chapters and lectured at training courses in international meetings. Dr Loh is also active in the teaching of ophthalmology residents, optometrists and undergraduate medical students at Flinders. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the secretary/treasurer of the ANZ Cornea Society.
